what is the Lite Laser Facial TM ?
The Lite Laser Facial TM is a new minimally invasive procedure that utilize advanced laser technology (Long-pulsed erbium laser) to reduce wrinkles, clear pigmentation and elevated skin lesions, and evidence of sun damage. Recent studies have shon that the Erbuim laser stimulates the production of collagen, creating a tightening and smoothing of the skin.
how does the procedure work?
Low -power, long-pulse laser energy is applied to the face. The laser energy is absorbed in the upper dermis of the skin causing new collagen to grow helping to reduce wrinkles over several months. Simutaniously, the laser energy removes outer epithelial layers of the skin. The unique properties of the laser will help clear the face of sunspots and other pigmented lesions as well as sun damaged skin. Facial wrinkles are dramatically reduced. Acne scars are softened.
can the procedure do anything else for me?
Yes it can. Many patients have raised lesions on their face such as warts or moles. the same laser can be used to easily treat and remove these lesions.
can the procedure help my skin in other areas?
Yes, the unique qualities of the erbium laser are used for treating the neck, upper chest and hands to improve unsightly freckles, sunspots or damaged skin.
i suffer from acne scarring, can this procedure help me?
Yes, very much so. The laser beam penetrates through the acne scar area and helps reduce scarring by stimulating the collagen from the inside. The laser is then encreased in power, enabling a physician to sculpture over and reduce the acne scars from the outside.
are there any precautions i should take after the procedure?
You should experience no complications from this procedure. In rare cases, transient skin discoloration may occur which is easily treated with topical creams. This is in contrast to the traditional CO2 laser which is more invasive and requires a 4-8 week recovery and may lead to prolonged redness and skin discoloration. If you are prone to cold sores, inform your doctor and you will be prescribed medication to prevent an outbreak.

Most clients do not experience pain during the procedure however, even without the prior application of numbing cream.
how long does the proceedure take?
Application of the laser energy takes approximately 30 minutes.
what will i look like after the procedure?
Your face will have redness and swelling as if you had experienced a sunburn. This generally disappears within 48 hours. Your skin will peel in 3-4 days leaving you with silky soft skin. Complete healing is achieved in approximately 7-10 days.
will i miss any work?

will i be able to wear makeup?
You will be able to wear eye makeup immediately following the procedure, however foundations and powders will be able to be applied approximately 3-5 days after. Avoid foundations and powders till peeling is complete.
